If there were any engagement session that truly speaks to my heart…it’s this one ya’ll.  I was surrounded by yummy food and an amazing couple! With every engagement session, I shoot I always encourage couples to choose locations and ideas that really mean something to them. When Brittany contacted me she already had an idea in mind that she and Mike had come up with…a Foodie engagement session.

We brainstormed on locations in the local area that would make for good photos but also had amazing food. We decided to start out at Good Dough in downtown San Marco…I mean because…Donuts ya’ll. Do you really need to know more than that haha! 

Brittany + Mike Jacksonville Florida Foodie Engagement Session: Community Loaves:

Our next stop was the intimate quaint bakery/coffee shop in Murray Hill. If you’ve never been to Community Loaves before it’s an absolutely adorable place to grab some breakfast and coffee. To me, it has the appeal of an English countryside cafe. It’s has a greenhouse feel with all the yums you can eat. Brittany and Mike shared some Blackberry Poppy seed cake in a cute corner nook of the shop. They also shared a homemade baguette and talked about their honeymoon plans in Paris. There is a back garden patio area that’s nice to chill at and makes for a good conversation spot too.

I LOVE Vagabond. Who can’t survive without coffee? They also have these super delicious homemade “Poptarts” they are known for too. If you are ever in the Murray Hill area and have a chance stop by and grab you some yums.  This community coffee spot has a fun fresh hip vibe that also makes it one of my favorite spots for photos.

Brittany + Mike Jacksonville Florida Foodie Engagement Session: Town Beer Co.

Donut’s, Cake, Bread, Coffee and now Beer! If you’re wondering how we topped this off just wait for it! Town Beer Co. is located on a corner in Murray Hill. It is such a cool hip Beer spot that makes you feel like you’re in Austin, Texas…aka it reminds me of home. Brittany and Mike “competitively” played a round of ping pong…any woman who plays ping pong THAT good in heels automatically wins in my book!

Brittany + Mike Jacksonville Florida Foodie Engagement Session: Hoptinger Rooftop Bar:

I could Rooftop it all day errrry day given the chance!  There was a good crowd hanging out up top dancing to music from a local DJ. Brittany and Mike shared laughs and lots of loves over some rooftop cocktails. It truly was the perfect spot to end such a great session! I look forward to capturing their wedding this September!
