Welcome to one of the most gorgeous wedding’s I’ve ever had the honor of shooting! Hannah & Lee’s stunning wedding day was nothing short of amazing. This fall inspired wedding took place on November 11th… 11.11. On a super personal note 11.11 has a very special meaning to me, I’ve read in various places that the significance of 11.11 showing up can mean a variety of things…signs and the presence of loved ones that have passed, like a guardian angel watching over you and also a symbol of new beginnings. When you hear about how Lee proposed and how much family, faith and love matter to this couple, I feel like it was no coincidence that they were married on 11.11.

Their Story:

Hannah and Lee met through their careers in the hair industry. Lee is a leading industry professional and travels around the country teaching his craft to different salons. He was hired to teach a class in South Florida where Hannah worked. After the class, they connected and kept in touch through social media. Shortly thereafter they started dating.

Since a long distance relationship was not an option for them, Hannah packed up her life and made the move to Jacksonville, Florida to be with her love. Only after four official months of dating, Lee proposed! They knew from the very beginning that they were meant for each other. It’s like when people say “ya just know when you’ve found the one!” and that couldn’t be any truer in this case!

When Lee surprised Hannah and proposed it was like any other day in their life as a new couple…in fact it was such a surprise Hannah thinks it may have been a surprise to him too! They went out to breakfast at their favorite spot and then went back to Lee’s parent’s house to take care of their dogs while the family was away on vacation. After spending some time hanging out with the dogs in the backyard, Lee and Hannah were checking out a beautiful flower garden Lee’s grandma had planted while she was still alive. Before she knew it “he was tearing up and saying all these beautiful things, we hugged and he got on one knee & pulled out my dream ring. It was a special day & I’m happy to say I get to visit the spot he proposed to me in all the time and it was perfect.”

Hannah and her girls got ready at the Hilton Historic Bayfront Hotel in St. Augustine. The french doors of her suite opened up to the gorgeous sailboat filled water of the Matanzas River. It literally looks like what Postcards are made of!

The natural light that spilled into the room illuminated the glowing bridal party as they opened gifts from Hannah. Each bridesmaid received a special robe and a heartfelt note from the bride. Watching each bridesmaid read the notes she had written to them meant so much to her.

Once hair and makeup were complete, they headed over the to the bridal suite at The White Room. Hannah put on her dress and accessories. The moment the bridesmaids entered the suite and saw Hannah for the first time cheers and tears happened.

Lee and his groomsmen met up in the groom’s suite at The White Room. The dark green jewel tones and leather tufted chesterfield couch and chairs provide a total masculine vibe. Lee had a custom suit made that was tailored to the nine! Is there anything better on a man than a well-fitted suit…trick question, no! haha!

Hannah and her dad decided to share a super moment between just the two of them on her wedding day, a first look with her dad. We set aside time before the ceremony where Hannah’s father would see her for the first time in her wedding dress. I can only imagine watching your daughter grow up and coming into this moment on her wedding day…it was a super joyous moment and you could feel the love ya’ll!

At the end of the alter Lee and Hannah had a custom-made Cross adorned with a custom bouquet of flowers. The ceremony space at the Villa Blanca is so stunning in itself that it only needs minimal decor. Lee and Hannah chose to have communion & worship during the ceremony by the pastor of their church. I remember a moment during the ceremony when the couple stopped an started laughing and looking around the room. I think Hannah said something to the crowd like “They say you’re supposed to stop and take it all in! So that’s what we’re doing!” Everyone laughed. That’s totally relatable right?! Your wedding day goes by SO fast that taking little breather moments like this can really be refreshing!

The rest of the evening was full of laughs and lots of love! One super sentimental moment happened during the father-daughter dance. Hannah gave her dad the option to pick the song for their dance and boy did he surprise her.

“My father has also recorded music, growing up music was his thing so little did I know he decided to write and record me a song for our dance.. it was the best surprise I could have ever dreamed of & its something I’ll have forever.”

I meannnn… that sparkler send off tho! I’m so incredibly grateful and humbled that this couple asked me to capture such an important day in their lives. They are incredibly talented, down to earth and genuinely good people. Congrat’s ya’ll! Lots of love and well wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Trevino!
