I first met Samantha & Jeff at the Casa Monica Hotel bar while they were in town planning their destination wedding. Automatically, I knew I would love them both from the start because we started off with mimosa’s and great conversation. Their wedding day was truly one for the books! Plus Samantha’s dress is EVERYTHING! The Villa Blanca Ceremony & White Room Wedding Reception in St. Augustine, Florida for Samantha & Jeff was truly what wedding dreams are made of!
Ain’t nobody gonna rain on this parade! This wedding is proof that even though it may rain on your wedding day, it will still be the best day ever! Samantha had been dreaming of her wedding at The White Room since she was a little girl…literally! She first fell in love with St. Augustine when her family would vacation there. Within hours of their engagement, Samantha pulled up The White Room’s site and showed it to Jeff and he was sold!
“As a kid I fell in love with the little city. The romantic cobble streets, the bright buildings, vines and dangling wooden signs. It’s always felt like my happy place. I used to look the the window of the lowest level of the White Room where they have a display window and dream about when I would get married there.”

After Hair and Make-up were done the girls headed back to the Hotel Suite and put on their dresses. Samantha’s maid of honor and bridesmaids helped her get into her AMAZING gown. The Groomsmen: The Villa Blanca Ceremony & White Room Wedding Reception in St. Augustine, Florida :
Jeff and the Groomsmen met up at Chatsworth Pub, which is right next door to the White Room. The Guys gathered around pub tables and relaxed and drank before the ceremony. One thing was totally clear they were having the best time ever on the best day ever!
The Ceremony: The Villa Blanca Ceremony & White Room Wedding Reception in St. Augustine, Florida :
The Villa Blanca was everything Samantha & Jeff dreamed of for a ceremony space and more! The light bright atmosphere of the ceremony space really embodied the vibe of the couple on this rainy day. Glass Vases filled with romantic floating candles adorned the aisle. Samantha’s mother walked her down the aisle. A photo of her and her father was placed front and center on a chair to honor his presence. He passed when she was a teenager and it was a beautiful touch to honor his memory. The emotion and love was real as Jeff saw Samantha for the first time walking towards him for the first time as his wife.
One of the couples’ favorite memories together was a wine tour they did together in Washington State. They choose to incorporate that experience into their wedding ceremony. The personalized wine box and wine were from that region where they toured.
“The wine box during the ceremony was probably the most sentimental to us as a couple. We had originally wanted to read our personal vows out loud but I cried at just thinking about it! We didn’t want to be a blubbery mess so we decided to read some traditional vows during the ceremony and exchange personal vows the night before. So during the ceremony, he had the vows I had written him, and I had the vows he had written me. We placed them in the personalized wine box and on our 5 year anniversary we’ll drink the wine and read the vows. “
The Reception: The Villa Blanca Ceremony & White Room Wedding Reception in St. Augustine, Florida :
The rest of the evening was spent with sentimental toasts and lots of love. The rain stopped right before sunset on the bay and we were able to run down to the Bridge of Lions and capture some pretty incredible sunset photos! From there, guests enjoyed fun flip flops provided as dancing shoes, a chic photo booth, and a super cool cigar and cigerello bar.
“Jeff and I both love a good cigar (me even more than him) so that was really fun for us and personal. “
The Last Dance: The Villa Blanca Ceremony & White Room Wedding Reception in St. Augustine, Florida :
“…You’re told over and over that “this is the best day of your life” and that “it will go so fast!” and you understand what they are saying but you have no idea how true it is until it’s simply over! I remember during our last dance alone thinking “All this work and planning and literal blood sweat and tears and it’s over just like that.” But my favorite part was the ceremony of course. The Villa Blanca was everything I ever wanted. We barely needed decore because it’s so bright and simplistically gorgeous on its own. And then equally for me was that last dance alone. It was so intimate. We danced to Nat King Coles cover of Le Vie En Rose. We cried and laughed and in that moment were just so happy to be married. “
This by far is the most solid advice for any future brides:
“Do it your way! Everyone is going to have an opinion and think they are helping with constant advice, and that’s okay! But don’t let someone else’s vision encroach on the vision you and your future husband have. Don’t be afraid of the term Bridezilla. I really think it’s just another word meant to bring down women who know what they want. That being said, being a Bridezilla still doesn’t mean (in my definition) being a brat to the people around you. You can know what you want but still be receptive to concerns and kind to your bridal party and vendors. That was a really long way to say what I said, in the beginning, haha, do it your way and be grateful for the people around you. “
