Take me home to West Virginia, LORD have mercy! I’m moving here. No, but seriously I have never felt so much at home in a state in my life! Mountian momma, where the dogs roam free. Wild and Wonderful West Virginia is filled with gorgeous views, beautiful people, and a warm kind loving generosity like no other.

I first met Kenzie and Jordan when they were down in St. Augustine on a family vacation. I photographed their beautiful engagement session and when they asked me to shoot their wedding…I WAS THRILLED!

Granted, my husband’s family is from West Virginia and I’ve only been once before, so I was super stoked to go back again. West Virginia is its own country. I mean that in the best way possible. I love it here.

Kenzie and her family got ready in a cabin located deep in the heart of West Virginia. Kenzie and her closest friends celebrated before the long wilderness walk down the aisle. We had a fun first look with her pawpaw and her bridesmaids at the cabin. Plus I mean…have you ever seen such a gorgeous bride!

Can we just talk about these serious ceremony views?! I mean…HOLY SMOKEY MOUNTAINS! You could feel the energy in the air as Jordan starred out into the gorge waiting to see Kenzie as his bride. The view is spectacular…but his bride took his breath away. Absolutely perfect in every way.

You might have to re-read this next sentence several times before you fully understand this: IF you rent a cabin on this property…this ceremony space is free. Like free free. Like, that backdrop is free for your ceremony. Seriously. I’m not kidding. So now that you know that priceless information, if you’re going to get married there, please take me with you!

Jordan and Kenzie’s ceremony was perfect. We were surrounded by their closest friends and family. Even though they had a first look, you could see the tears rolling down Jordan’s face as his bride walked down the aisle. This is true love.

Their wedding reception was held on the luscious green lawn of the cabin they were staying in. Friends and family enjoyed Texas-style BBQ and lots of yummy desserts. There was heart filled speeches and lots of dancing. We finished the night off by heading back to the ceremony sight for sunset. They popped a bottle of champagne and started their new journey as husband and wife. Congratulations ya’ll!!
