WOW! I can’t say enough great things about this wedding and these two! Juli and Mike’s Magnolia Plantation and Gardens Wedding in Charleston, South Carolina was seriously the best! From the wedding venue to the fun-loving and great spirited couple, it was a wedding photographer’s dream to photograph!

The really great thing about this venue is that the bridal suite is a few steps from the reception and wedding ceremony space. Having everything on site makes it so incredibly easy for everyone on the day of. The lush gardens provide the perfect backdrop for some detail shots.

Juli and her bridesmaids got ready on site in the bridal suite. We did a fun first look with her girls and a really emotional first look with her dad. The lighting was so incredibly perfect that day and made for some epic portraits.

Juli and Mike decided to do a first look before the ceremony so they could really enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests. It was a destination wedding for most of the guests, so it was important to the couple to spend some time with their loved ones.

We were able to have a golf cart to travel around the gardens. The driver told me that there were over 600 acres of gardens at the Magnolia Plantation. We hit up the most iconic spots for photos, including the little river and bridge where that movie “The Notebook” was filmed!

The ceremony was held on a beautiful luscious lawn that overlooked the river at sunset. Guests were shuttled in from the hotel on these amazing vintage 70’s buses. The couple had a fun ceremony and exchanged happy vows. Watching them say I do and rejoice in happiness truly made for a picture perfect moment. Errrybody was crying tears of happiness!

The Wedding Reception was seriously SO much fun! Guests enjoyed the most AH-mazing southern comfort food…I know because I had three plates…hahaha. They also had these super cute custom temporary tattoos that guests could put on. The sparkler exit was the cherry on top of the perfect wedding cake day!
